Our People

As the founder of Eire Construction in 1978, Tom Kelliher built the foundation of the business from the beginning. Over time, Tom, and his sons Tadhg and Eamon have developed Eire’s enviable reputation for innovation and collaborative, customer-focused civil infrastructure solutions. Under Tom’s stewardship, Eire Construction expanded into Port Macquarie and eventually Newcastle, specialising in water and sewer civil solutions, which has continued to grow under the strategic direction of his successors. Embracing family values in the business, Tom nurtured Eire’s capability as a specialist civil contractor with the heart and agility of a family business.

Tadhg’s connection to Eire Constructions extends well beyond his professional career. Growing up with the business, which his parents once operated from the family home in Old Bar, he has a lifelong connection to both Eire and the construction industry.

With a strong operational background in water and wastewater infrastructure, Tadhg has extensive experience across the construction of sewer reticulation networks, large-diameter trunk mains, and the construction and refurbishment of water and sewer pump stations. His experience also extends to the strategic management of Eire’s heavy and light vehicle fleet, giving him a broad understanding of the operational, commercial and investment decisions required to support a successful construction business.

As Chief Executive Officer, Tadhg is responsible for setting Eire’s strategic direction and leading the business through its next phase of growth. Combining practical industry knowledge with a long-term perspective, he is focused on building a strong, sustainable business that continues to deliver high-quality infrastructure while creating meaningful employment and career opportunities across the Mid North Coast and other communities throughout New South Wales.

Tadhg is passionate about the role Eire can play beyond the projects it delivers. He is committed to supporting local suppliers and subcontractors, investing in Eire’s people and capabilities, and ensuring the company’s growth creates lasting value for the communities and industries in which it operates.

Underpinning Tadhg’s leadership is a commitment to growing Eire at a sustainable pace while remaining true to the relationships, values and regional foundations that have shaped the business from the beginning.
