New Project – Kingfisher Student Accommodation

CSU Port Macquarie currently has more than 550 undergraduate students studying on campus. With new courses available in 2017 student numbers are expected to increase.

Charles Sturt University officially opened the new CSU campus on 19 November 2016. The opening represents a $27 million investment by the University and a $20 million investment by the federal government in this region.

Eire Constructions will now commence construction of a 592 bed student accommodation facility giving students affordable living options close to the Lake Innes campus.

Works commencing in January 2017 includes earthworks, installation of drainage, utilities, fire services and sewerage infrastructure.

Managing Director said “Eire Constructions is proud to build essential infrastructure for the University. We understand the importance of building the foundations for life long learning. The Kingfisher Student Accommodation will be a great facility for new CSU students.”

The new campus establishes Port Macquarie as a city for higher education and research on the Mid North Coast.
