EIRE Constructions was contracted by Port Macquarie – Hastings Council to support their vision to provide the infrastructure for effective reuse of treated recycled water throughout the Hastings Region.
Comprising 12.2 kilometers of various pipe diameters and passing operating hospitals, protected wetlands and a pristine golf course, the program critical project needed to be completed quickly and with minimal disruption. Rather than employing an aggressive, disruptive and costly pipe replacement program, EIRE Constructions employed innovative pipe bursting techniques to the existing network to rectify issues and ensure network longevity.
The first application of its kind in the region, EIRE Constructions designed, managed, and completed works through each stage of the project. Through negating the need for an extensive replacement program, Eire Constructions’ innovative restoration methods avoided costly business disruption and enabled the project schedule to be completed within budget and on time.
