Reliable and safe water supply is a top priority for communities. At Eire Constructions we put the pipelines in place to ensure it’s business as usual for water supply in New South Wales.
Hunter Water have made significant investments as part of their capital works program to upgrade the The Chichester Trunk Gravity Main (CTGM) which services forty percent of Hunter residents.
The 85km CTGM pipeline conveys water from Chichester Dam to the Lower Hunter, supplying a number of communities along the way.
Eire Constructions installed the Seaham Temporary Bypass Pipeline to ensure disruptions to the Hunter water supply were minimised and local residents continued to have access to water during upgrades.
The works included:
- the installation of 700 meters of 250 diameter welded polyethylene pipe
- making connections to the existing water network at either end of the pipeline
The polyethylene welding of the new pipeline was executed by Eire Constructions. Our team have the skills, experience and equipment to weld PE pipes to a metre in diameter.
Eire Constructions has become a Contractor of Choice to many local government bodies, water authorities and private clients. We hold range of accreditations for public bodies including Hunter Water Corporation for both developer funded and capital works programs.
